About Us

Our journey began in 1922 when Gregory Kranias opened our first bakery, setting the foundation for a legacy of crafting exceptional European breads, pastries, cookies, cakes, and confections, for three generations.

Grandfather Gregory was a pioneer in his time, cultivating his own wheat and grinding it in the local grist mill. The bread was then baked to perfection in wood-burning brick ovens. Grandfather Gregory, delivering them door to door,  would load his donkey-drawn cart with baskets filled with freshly baked breads and pastries.

The tradition continued with his son Yanni until mid-1970. Today the bakeries in Greece are still managed by the Kranis family. Emanuil (Manos), Yanni's second son, continued the family legacy when he emigrated to the US. Today, we proudly carry on the Kranias tradition of excellence in baking, offering a taste of Europe with every delightful bite.

At Manos Bakery Cafe, we invite you to savor the richness of tradition, the warmth of family, and the delectable delights that have been cherished for decades. Come experience the magic that only a three-generation legacy can bring to your table, where the secret ingredient is love.
